Divide players into two teams and prepare prompt slips. Give each team a drawing surface that all teammates can see. Set a 30-second timer.
What you need
- Drawing paper
- Markers
- Timer
A phone timer is handy for timed rounds. Set out supplies before guests arrive, and give the group one practice turn if the rules are new to them.
How to play
- The first artist draws one prompt while teammates guess. No words, letters, numbers, or spoken clues are allowed.
- A correct guess within the timer earns one point. If nobody guesses, reveal the prompt and move on.
- Alternate teams and rotate artists each turn.
- After six turns per team, compare totals. Play one additional prompt per team to break a tie if desired.

Make it work for your group
Use 60 seconds and paired drawing for younger children. For adults, combine two words such as a dancing octopus or a flying pizza.
A host’s note
Use broad familiar objects before introducing harder combinations. Drawings do not need to be attractive to work.
Plan your party flow
Explain the aim before handing out supplies, then demonstrate one turn. Let guests join as a player, helper, or spectator. Stop while the group is still enjoying the game rather than adding extra rounds just to fill time.
