Gather 15 ordinary objects on a tray and cover them with a cloth. Use items without private information or company data.

Players: 4–20Play time: About 15 minutesBest fit: Adults and teens

What you need

A phone timer is handy for timed rounds. Set out supplies before guests arrive, and give the group one practice turn if the rules are new to them.

How to play

  1. Reveal the tray for one minute. Everyone looks silently without taking notes.
  2. Cover it and give players two minutes to write down as many objects as they remember.
  3. Show the tray again and award one point per correct object. Brand names and exact colors are not required.
  4. For a second round, remove three objects while players look away. Give one point per correctly identified missing object.

Prompts and round ideas

Make it work for your group

For remote teams, show a clear still image of your own safe objects, then stop sharing it during recall.

A host’s note

Use a separate shared image or tray, never a real employee desk with visible documents. Keep participation optional.

Plan your party flow

Explain the aim before handing out supplies, then demonstrate one turn. Let guests join as a player, helper, or spectator. Stop while the group is still enjoying the game rather than adding extra rounds just to fill time.
